Chapter 2

So I had about 5 people asking for it now so here it is, but if you think it’s terrible its your own faults for not giving me another day;) feel free to spam my ask with what you think, I wanna know if everyone actually likes this! And also I’m not sure how many chapters I have in mind yet but i’m thinking somewhere around 6-8.

There was a silence for a few seconds, but she still lay close to him, then she looked up at him with that smile that he had dreamed so longingly about. He just knew that she didn’t hate him for what he’d said, but he didn’t know how she felt either, and whilst it was only about 30 seconds of silence, it felt like a lifetime. As if he hadn’t waited enough. Then her beautiful lips parted to say something, he was watching her every move, but nothing came out, he was expecting some form of, ‘No Charles, this can’t work.’ but she just stared at him. 

His head rushed, he had never felt more nervous. Then she did the thing he’d been dying to do forever. She kissed him. 

He’d wanted her for so long, and he finally had her. He didn’t care if she was just drunk right now, he was kissing her. Life had never been so good. He held her soft cheeks, and pulled her closer to him. He didn’t have a second to even process what was happening, it was going so fast! 

Then she stopped, and lifted her pretty head up. He breathed. Something he forgot to do for the best 3 minutes of his existence. She snuggled her head into his neck, and whispered softly in his ear.

‘I love you, more than anything. We both know we’ve been fighting this forever, but I don’t want to fight anymore, I love you forever and always Charles Burgess Kelley.’ Those words were beyond what he imagined this moment to be. 

He lifted her head off his neck, held her precious head in his hands, kissed her forehead, and then pulled her back into him. 

She knew this wasn’t the place for this, on the bus couch, so she sat up, resting herself on his legs. She brushed her soft hands over his chest, and grabbed his arms and pulled him up. 

He held her waist and just kissed her again, he didn’t want this moment to end. It wasn’t going to, but she stopped him, and stood up. He had the worst of thoughts going through his mind, but he lay them to bed the second she grabbed him up, did a flirty smile, and pulled him to her bedroom. He knew in his head that this had the potential to be the best night of his life, but he didn’t want this while they were drunk. 

He hesitantly pulled his hand from hers which made her turn around with a surprised look on her face.

‘Charles, what’s wrong?’

‘It’s just, we’re both drunk and I don’t want our first night together to be a drunken one night thing on a tour bus, I want it to be special. We didn’t even know how each other felt before tonight, I just think it’s too soon…’

The natural glow that almost always lit her eyes up dulled in an instant.

‘But I thought this is what you wanted, you’re the one that told me you loved me.’ she spoke softly, but with an angered tone to her voice. She hated not getting what she wanted.

‘I do love you Hills, that’s exactly why I want to wait… Please don’t do that cute pouting face at me!’ 

‘Okay fine, you can leave now.’ 

He hoped she didn’t mean this and that she was joking, the smirk on her face made him believe she was just messing though. 

‘Let me stay with you tonight.’ 

‘That’s really just like teasing, but I love you, so I’ll allow it.’

She pulled him by his hands into her room. He lay down on the bed and pulled her down next to him.

‘I love you Hills, nothing will ever change that.’ He kissed her on her forehead and held her even tighter.

He was expecting a reply but her eyes were already shut tight so he just lay watching her beautiful face for hours until he finally got to sleep himself.
